Job Description:
Supervising up to 6 people. Responsible for approx. 600 acres of orange grove, including herbicide & pesticide programs, irrigation system, nutrient addition system and equipment maintenance programs. Operate equipment as needed. Provide security for the property. Relocation required.

Candidate must be honest, self motivated, good attendance, computer literate, able to obtain a pesticide license, high school diploma, minimum 5 years experience and viable Florida Drivers license. Must be able to travel to overseas on Company Business.

Pay rate $45,000 per year

Objectives: To increase sales of client-branded copper fungicides in the FL citrus market by making focused sales calls on distributor sales management, distributor sales reps, distributor personnel at key retail branch locations and key growers as targeted by the Client.

Position Requirements: The successful candidate in each of these markets must have significant sales experience in the industry, preferably experience calling on the target entities, and have extensive contacts within the distributor/retailer/grower community. The successful candidate must also exhibit relationship-building skills, good communication and organization skills and a strong work ethic. The successful candidate must also provide all the required equipment to complete the required tasks. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, a reliable late model vehicle, a computer with high speed Internet capabilities and a cell phone.

Position Expectations: This is a sales contract position. The successful candidate will be expected to communicate on a regular basis with the company’s full time sales team to discuss strategies and develop territory action plans. A minimum average of 3-5 completed calls per day is expected. Project success will be evaluated on the basis of sales results versus budgets. Contractor is expected to devote 40 hours per week to activities related to this project.
Project Timing: This is a 26 week engagement to begin in Oct./Nov.

Training: On the job training with client’s full time sales team.

Project Pay Rate: Hourly rate to be determined based on candidates’ experience and industry knowledge.
Expenses: Ordinary and necessary expenses incurred in conducting the field activities directly related to the project will be reimbursed. This includes the use of personal vehicle at the current IRS rate in effect at the time the mileage is incurred, telephone, lodging, airfare, etc. When overnight, an evening meal and breakfast are reimbursed.
